Dakota Culkin
Dakota, a native of New York, USA was born on 15 June 1978. She is mainly known for being a sister of famous American Actor Macaulay Culkin. Dakota was a pretty girl, and her looks were very innocent. Wavy hair and blue eyes were perfect match to her oval face cut. She belongs to Christian religion and has Caucasian ethnicity. She belonged to a large family having many Kids. Her siblings were Quinn, Rory, Macaulay, Kieran, Shane, Jennifer and Christian. Her Siblings called her Cody. Dakota was the 2nd eldest child of Culkin Clan of Seven. She was not involved much in social activity and didn’t have any active official account on any Social Media Platform. Dakota has worked as an art production assistant.
Dakota Culkin- Cause of Death
Dakota passed away on 10 December 2008. It was an untimely demise of her as she passed at very early age of 29 years due to a tragic Car accident in Los Angeles.
According to Media reports, at time of her death Dakota was walking on Lincoln Boulevard, on the west side of Los Angeles, when the car stuck her. She survived enough to be taken to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, LA, California, United States. Unfortunately, she died soon after due to severe head trauma. As per ABC news, the driver who hit her stopped to render aid and identified himself as required by law. Later, detectives determined that driver was not under influence of alcohol or any drugs, so no criminal charges were committed against him.
Lt. Fred Corral (from Los Angeles County Department of Coroner) suspected that during the accident Dakota was under the influence of alcohol though Corral couldn’t confirm that by her blood alcohol level. There were several rumors on the involvement of the drugs in this case because of Culkin family history. As Dakota sister Jennifer Adamson died less than a decade ago due to overdose of drugs.
Why did Macaulay Culkin Quit Acting in teen age ?
Macaulay at the age of 15 was retired from his onscreen career. He spend almost nine years out of the spotlight before returning back to the acting profession. In a recent interview Macaulay’s younger brother and counter part in acting profession Kieran Culkin, revealed new insight’s about Macaulay’s life as a child star. He included some of the reasons that Macaulay stepped away from acting in his teens and early 20s.
In a new interview with a Reporter, Kieran Culkin explained that how he along with his six siblings started acting in productions around New York City when they were small kids. A ray of hope came in to their life when one of his neighbour who was also a stage manager got them into it when he heard a production needed children artists. “He was like, ‘Well, I know these people. They have six or seven of them and I think the father was an actor. Maybe they would be interested,'” Kieran goes back to history recalling the facts. “That’s how it started. Soon it got to a place of like, ‘Sure, you want kids? What gender? What age? Yeah, we got a bunch. Here, take this one.'”
Macaulay claims that over the years his father, Kit Culkin, was emotionally and physically abusive towards them. Kit was also having a bad name throughout the Hollywood for being very demanding on his son’s projects. Macaulay then recalls the facts in same interview. “Our 1994 divorce was one of the best things that’s ever happened, as it led to me leaving the industry,” Macaulay added in an interview in 2018 “I wanted to take a break for a while and eventually I was like, ‘I’m done guys, hope you all made your money because there is no more coming from me.'”
“I was tired of it, to be honest,” Macaulay Culkin. “I was away from home a lot , I did like 14 movies in six years or something like that”. I was away from school. I was looking for something else.” After retiring, he went to high school. “It was the smartest thing I could have possibly done was to take eight years off,” says younger brother of Macaulay.
Macaulay returned back to acting with the film “Party Monster” in the year 2003..
Macaulay Culkin on “Drugs”?
Macaulay (born on 26 August 1980) is a renowned American actor and sibling of Dakota. He is regarded as one of the most prominent child actors of 1990s. He gained popularity from Home Alone film series (1990 and 1992)
In 2004, Macaulay made headlines around the world his car searched by police officers in Oklahoma. He was charged for possessing marijuana without a prescription. Further rumors and stories continued to float about his drugs addiction. In an interview with ‘The Guardian’ the actor insisted that he was not pounding six grand of heroin a month.
In Feb 2020 during his candid interview with Esquire Macaulay admitted that he played with fire when it come to usage of the drugs but now his darkest days are over as he has quit the drugs without going into rehabilitation process. Macaulay further added that he is now going to settle down and referred himself as a ’homebody’ and is now planning for a baby with his love lady Brenda.
Tribute to Dakota
Macaulay was very close to her sister Dakota. In April 2021 Dakota name popped up again when Macaulay and his wife Brenda Song gave birth to their baby boy. By naming his son’s name (Dakota Song Culkin) in memory of his sister, Macaulay paid tribute to his late sister Dakota.
