Many people know that Jason Mantzoukas rose to fame for his work on the comedy series recurring role as Rafi on the FX The League, the movie The Dictator, other movies like Sleeping With Other People and They Came Together. He has had recurring roles on three television shows created by Michael Schur: Parks and Recreation (as Dennis Feinstein); Brooklyn Nine (as Adrian Pimento); and The Good Place (as Derek Hostedtler).

1. Jason Mantzoukas graduated from Swampscott High School in 1991:

Although known for his acting skills and comedic timing, Jason is actually an accomplished drummer. He began playing drums while attending Swampscott High School.

While attending, he was named captain of the Swampscott boys’ soccer and track teams and was also president of the marching band.

After moving to New York, he and his acting and writing partner, Jessica St. Clair, quickly became a regular at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, where they acted, enhanced, and shaped comedy for years. Mantzoukas took up co-writing The Donor, a feature for Jon Stewart’s Busboy Productions. A full-length script is also in the works at Summit Entertainment, with Scot Armstrong engaged in production.

He co-wrote the hit movie Walk with Greg Coolidge, Phil Hay, and Matt Manfredi. The movie starred Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. The Greek-American actor has also served as a producer and consultant writer at Portlandia and Children’s Hospital.
