This internet celebrity is not alien to controversy and controversy. She was deeply criticized for associating with fellow Vine Star, Curtis Lepore, who was convicted in a case of sexual harassment. As the controversy surrounding Gabbie Hanna grew, the number of subscribers to her YouTube channel decreased. It was then that through Twitter, Hanna claimed that YouTube was ‘shadow banning’ her content and that this caused users not to find her videos. She accompanied the tweets with screenshots of her search engine in incognito mode where you could see that when searching her name on YouTube, her channel was not the first search result.  

In an hour-long live stream on YouTube, Hanna shared her concerns about this ‘shadow ban’ with those connected and further accused the ‘Tea Spill’ gossip channel of defamation. After these revelations, internet users have asked her for proof of the alleged actions of YouTube and she has not given it yet.

How did Gabbie Hanna defend herself?

On her ‘Box of Thoughts ‘ podcast, she defended herself against criticism and referred to those who had attacked her as bullies and narcissistic abusers.

In the same podcast, she explained that she would not give evidence about what happened with YouTube, that she was already 29 years old and did not have to be giving evidence of something that she knew to be true. Then he quoted a fragment of his song ‘Glass House’ and these are the two audios that are currently viral on TikTok.

There are videos in which users use the audio where it says that it is already great to give explanations and tests such as lip-sync. Others, where you can see how this same audio is mixed with the popular song ‘ Savage’ by Megan Thee Stallion.
